Each year, the therapists at the Family Therapy Center of Virginia Tech provide approximately 1200 hours of therapy services to individuals, couples, and families in the New River Valley and beyond. We work with a diverse clientele, who have a variety of needs, and no one is turned away for an inability to pay. A gift to the Family Therapy Center helps support our mission of providing low-cost, high quality therapy to residents in our community.
The faculty and students who work at the Family Therapy Center conduct groundbreaking research that has improved the lives of families around the world. The faculty have guided over 160 scholar-clinicians to earning their doctorates, and many of the program’s alumni now train the next generation of marriage and family therapists. A gift to the Family Therapy Center helps support the training of our students, so they can continue to make vital contributions to the lives of families.

THE CAROLYN PEARSALL WHITE ENDOWMENT
The Carolyn Pearsall White Endowment was as established by Miss White in honor of her father, Embree B. White, Sr., her mother, Mary Bell White, and Miss White’s sister, Mary Kent White Weed. Its purpose is to support the counseling of families in need. This generous gift continues to help the staff of the Family Therapy Center in our effort to work with all families in need of services, regardless of their ability to pay.
