Two program alumni have been elected to leadership positions with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE).

Dr. Darren Moore, Site Program Director of Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University – San Francisco Campus and Online Campus, was elected to the AAMFT Board of Directors.  AAMFT is the major professional associate for the field of marriage and family therapy and represents more than 50,000 marriage and family therapists in the United States, Canada, and around the world.  The AAMFT Board of Directors provide leadership to AAMFT.

Dr. Christian Jordal, who is currently Director of the Master of Family Therapy Program at Drexel University, was recently elected as a COAMFTE Commissioner.  The COAMFTE is the accrediting body for marriage and family therapy education and training, and has mission of promoting best practices in training marriage and family therapists.  COAMFTE Commissioners are senior marriage and family therapy educators or clinicians who contribute to the development and revision of COAMFTE accreditation standards, and support the accreditation and reaccreditation of marriage and family therapy graduate and post-graduate training programs.
